Maybe I should call this the semi-weekly report.  I missed last week reporting and we finished up some major things we were working on.  See my posts on our World War I lapbook and our Heat and Energy lapbook.

This week we spent a lot of time outside.  The weather was warm and my littlest one has discovered the fun of playing "ow sigh".  The daffodils are starting to bloom.  So we started back on our Botany studies.  We began them in the fall but we skipped the lessons on flowers, pollination, and fruit.  So now is a good time to get back to them.  We read the beginning of our lesson on flowers sitting outside on our bench by our fish pond (sans fish).  It was a nice change.

We are moving forward in our other curriculum.  It was a so-so week for my K son.  We moved forward in math and writing.  There were no major reading breakthroughs and we didn’t actually have a lesson every day.

Yesterday was our monthly science class at the local science museum.  My older son’s class studied electricity and my daughter’s class was on animals.   I enjoyed chasing the kids around the museum and visiting with some other homeschool moms.
