I was in tears last night as we sang this song in church. I have been going through some time of sorrow that is continuing. It is very likely that I will lose my grandmother within the next couple of weeks. I thought I would share because I know that there are a lot of churches that don’t regularly sing hymns anymore and this is such a blessing. I was especially touched by the fourth verse.
How Firm a Foundation
How firm a foundation, ye saints of the Lord,
Is laid for your faith in His excellent Word!
What more can He say than to you He hath said,
To you who for refuge to Jesus have fled?
?In ev?ry condition ? in sickness, in health,
In poverty?s vale, or abounding in wealth;
At home or abroad, on the land, on the sea,
As days may demand, shall thy strength ever be.

Sorry I've dropped so far off the radar lately.
I'm really sorry about your grandma! I'm sure this is a time of year that carries many memories of her, making the feelings all the more strong. I'll be praying for her and your family.

Both of my grandmothers have been in the hospital this week. I will add your "sweet mom" (that is what I call a grandmother) to my prayers. 🙂
