You have got to be kidding me! The Census Bureau sent us a letter telling us that they’ll be sending us a census form. How much money did these useless letters cost? And they think they could do a better job with health care?

  1. And add to that those expensive tv commercials with Ed Beagley, and it makes you wonder. Here in Hawaii, they are pushing participation to make sure that "Hawaii gets all the money it is entitled to". Really makes me not want to fill it out!

  2. I'm so glad I'm not the only one shaking their head incredulously over that letter. I received mine the other day too and thought: "Dude! Seriously?!" What a waste of tax dollars….

  3. I thought the SAME THING when I read that letter and realized some poor tree died so that they could PRE-announce the census letter. What a waste of government dollars. I guess they kept the post office in Saturday mail for another month or two, though. 😉

  4. I know!!! Pure craziness!! I opened up the letter, flipped it over thinking, "there must be more to this. Surly they wouldn't just send us a letter saying they're going to send us a letter?!" But yup.. they sure did. :-

  5. I hate to say it but this made me giggle–you're so right, this is what they'll do with healthcare.

  6. We got the "pre" letter, then the census forms and the other day we got a postcard reminding us they had sent us the census forms a few days earlier and to be sure to fill them out. Blessings! ~ Nikki
