I just found a link to a really cool quiz on motherstyles. I found the link at Little Homeschool on the Hill.  The quiz is based on Meyers-Briggs type indictator test.  I had to laugh because the description fit me so well. Here are my results.

Your type is: istj  —The “Responsibility” Mother

“I have a serious love affair with to-do lists. I could sit for hours reading, organizing, and rearranging my weekly calendar.”

  • The ISTJ mother has a highly developed sense of responsibility: for work, home, family … particularly her children. Whether she’s overseeing daily baths or insisting on a 10 p.m. curfew, her efforts are largely focused on providing her children with order and routine. She wants them, regardless of age, to be able to count on her and the structure she provides.
  • In carrying out her commitment to her responsibilities, the ISTJ mother is organized, industrious, and detail-oriented. Because her focus is the day-to-day realities of life, her children are likely to feel secure and well provided for.
  • The ISTJ mother also sets a good example and provides her children with practical guidance on being a productive, responsible individual. Still, with all her seriousness, she may delight family members with her quick wit and observations about the details of life.

If you take the test, leave me a comment and let me know what you are.

  1. The Flickr group is a public group meaning anyone can join (without an invitation). And then members can add relevant images to the group. It's just a way to share in a central location. Other moms can visit the group and see examples of notebooking. Do you have a flickr account?

  2. I had a hard time with the first and last question because I was neither of those extremes. I could have easily answered for both. Thanks for stopping by my blog and saying hello.

  3. ..The ?Give 'Em Their Space? Mother…

"the [?Give 'Em Their Space?] mother wants to ?be there? for her children?to meet their basic needs and keep them safe. Her goal is to help her children think for themselves and take responsibility for their own actions."

    How fun! 🙂

  4. Im the "the kids "R" fun mother. Yeah it fits me mostly. I love to do lists, but have issues with sticking to a ridgid schedule. I like to be sponaneous and look for the kids to guide me in their learning.

Interesting quiz. I wish it was a bit longer or had more options to fine tune it. Definetly fun.

    Thanks for sharing.

  5. Hi!

I just noticed your comment. I use picassa. It is somewhat simple but took me a day or so to figure it out. I like that it gathers all the pics on your computer and put them in a folder. So evrything is in one spot!

The church hunt is difficult. But we are praying for the Lord to lead us to where He would have us.

I like your blog as well!!
