I don’t know what my problem is lately, but I have been struggling with being unable to focus on completing tasks. I have about a million balls up in the air and I am just juggling them. I think part of the problem has been my adjusting to the distraction of my new laptop. I think I’m going to have to set some guidelines and limits for using it.

For the record I’m going to record the goals I have for myself for this summer and provide myself some accountability to get them done. So, here they are in no particular order. (Though some have deadlines.)

  1. Prepare for children’s consignment sale.
  2. Clean out fishpond and stock with new fish.
  3. Finish weeding all the flower beds.
  4. Paint the living room.
  5. Purchase new book shelf.
  6. Complete school planning for new year.
  7. Potty train little one.
  8. Complete chore plan for upcoming year.
  9. Update photo albums.
  10. Build more pages on squidoo.
  11. Have the pastor and wife over for dinner.

OK, that’s 11 goals. It’s a strange number, not nice and even like 10 or filled with symbolism like 7. Having 11 goals may be symbolic of the chaotic state of my brain!

  1. Good luck with your goals. We are trying to decide where to add a room onto our home and the thought of everyone changing rooms and painting moving furniture for 5 bedrooms this fall is paralizing me. (We have a boy and girl still sharing a room and another girl who can't be mixed with anyone). The kids have of the own accord decided to have a yard sale. A very good idea before constuction starts~hopefully this will pull me out of my deer caught in headlight state.

    Blessings,

    Dawn
